About
In this retro graphical text adventure, a series of odd events causes you to investigate, and eventually come face-to-face with evil itself. Styled after Sierra graphic adventures, this game was meant to fit in with DOS games of the 80s. It was made for the DOS Games August Jam 2022.
Playtime: About 10-15 minutes.
CONTENT WARNING: Animated blood, death, and references to monarchies.

I was actually genuinely surprised by how fun and cool this game is. I was never one for text based adventures but this has changed my perception of it. I really like the subversion of expectation and the combat while basic really fun. Everything flows well and was quite manageable to beat. However, I did have difficulty finding out what i should type in and what keywords to use but only for a short while. Really liked it and hope you make more like this.

and yeah, trying to find a good way to handle user input (the prompts) was definitely a challenge. turns out natural language processing is hard! i would be more than happy to make something related to this text adventure, be-it another text adventure (or point-and-click) with the same vibe, or a differently-genred game related to the "story" of Puteus.
